What it indicates. May be COVID impacted their performance and visibility or may be people have much more expectation than in past from them, as all the new comer and mufasil man doing far better and people see great potencial in them to deliver on their issues at the ground level.

Why sitting Central Council members are struggling and losing. Only 1 out of 5 CCM elected so far is sitting member being re-elected.
This is really interesting to note that only 1 out of 5 members elected so far is a sitting member getting re elected to the council. If you look at the first preference votes, in top 5, there was not a single sitting CC member. There are 2 sitting CC member already eliminated and 2 are still struggling to be in comfortable position.

It is very difficult to honour all commitments on honorary basis. The model of ICAI working incrementally will attract only money spenders like in common elections. Somewhere president will have to look in for upper house comprising likes of Girish Ahuja, Tarun Mahajan, Anil Bhandari, Jay Chhaira, Niharbhai, and so on.
