What's happening at this moment?

Re counting of Shruti's elimination is demanded. Once it's done, then Shruti's sub parcels will be counted and distributed, then elimination of Rajkumar Adukia...

Scenarios Where Purushottam Khandelwal can win

Everyone was asking me right from day of polling that what are the chances of Ahmedabad getting two central council seats  OR three seats from Gujarat. And my answer was always a big No. Howsoever great one perform, whomsoever remains above the another Ahmedabad candidate is the ONLY one to win. The other bound to loose. He/she may position at as high as at 5th in the first preference vote counts raking, the moment Mumbai elimination starts the sliding begins and lead it to the elimination at the 12th place. The best a second Ahmedabad candidate can do is to eliminate at the end. The last elimination honour we are used to get for second candidate.

Look at Purushottam Khandelwal. It's exceptional performance by him. Who can think of a second Ahmedabad candidate getting 2650 votes. So kudos, great work and brilliantly done. It proves acceptability across the board, the connect with common member, that's all. You won the hearts, best wishes next time. 

Here is the scenario where Purushottam can win and we can get two Ahmedabad seats

• Tarun Ghia who is 230 votes below Purushottam, doesn't get enough second preference votes from Rajkumar Adukia to cover this gap. Mind you, Rajkumar will also give votes to Purushottam, but it will give more votes to Tarun. How much more is the game.
• If Rajkumar gives good votes to Shrinivas too and make a scene that Tarun is below Shrnivas and he becomes the next elimination, then Ahmedabad gets secons seat, and this seems most unlikely.
• If Shrinivas is next elimination, then Mangesh will shoot up and reach above Purushottam, Durgesh Kabra and Tarun will also be above Purushottam and that will be end game and death knell for the Ahmedabad second seat hopes.
• As long as Tarun is below Purushottam, Gujarat stands a chance to make a history with third Central council seat, which is the only scenario. Touch wood. 

Aniket has done phenomenally well

It's phenomenal. Aniket as debut in his central council fray has done exceptionally well. Hia getting seconds performance votes from each elimination also proves his reach across the region. He has got lots of votes from outside Ahmedabad. Getting such a big no. of votes from from elimination of Shruti was also surprising. He alao got big chunk from surplus of Jay Chhaira.

CC: Where stands Tarun Ghia?

Tarun survival depends on Rajkumar's votes. It appears at this stage he would get enough to remain above Shrinivas Joshi. In that case next elimination will be of Shrinivas Joshi.

If Tarun gets 400 from Rajkumar Adukia than he reaches the safe zone. Mind you Durgesh Kabra is also going to get good no. votes from Rajkumar. And so is many others.

Most likely Tarun reaches at no. 11 or 12 after this elimination.

Purushottam Khandelwal may move to no. 10 after elimination of Adukia.

Aniket is going to reach quota after elimination of Rajkumar Adukia.

CC: Elimination of Rajkumar Adukia will decide the fate

The most important elimination is going to happen now is that of Rajkumar Adukia. Once sub parcels of Shruti counted, the game will begin.

One out of Shrinivas Joshi and Mangesh Kinare is for sure. One is bound to eliminate it appears from the current situation. Mangesh has a lead of 60 votes and if Adukia gives them equal Mangesh will get in. 60 votes lead is an edge at this moment.

Contest between three has made it now contest between two.  The windfall of 486 votes to Chandrashekhar Chitale from elimination of Sarvesh Joshi has made the fortune. He is at number five now and made to Council.
