The action is on for the NIRC results. The 1st preference count for the regional council is available now. There have been lots of candidates for few seats. So you will see now till evening, all eliminations only. At this moment, no one has reached the quota, but Gopal Kedia is leading the tally and will be first to cross this magical figure.. NIRC: Central Council Elections- Some facts

• The constituency consist of the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and the Union territories of Chandigarh and Delhi.
• Despite such a big constituency, the fact remains, all candidates are from Delhi except Vijay Kumar Gupta (FARIDABAD) and Ashok Kumar Verma (FRANKFURT).
• Ashok Kumar Verma is an overseas candidate. He resides in Frankfurt (Germany) and contested the Central Council Elections.
• There are four Agarwal and three Gupta surname candidates, and all from Delhi except Vijay Kumar.

What the fate has in store for them will be soon known and out in public by evening. 

NIRC: Opening of Ballot Boxes begins..

For NIRC, the opening of postal ballots and ballot boxes started. So the mandate comes out of boxes today. The first count will be available by tomorrow only. Today only statistical exercise and tallying of the votes with ballot boxes.
