Sachin Somani: Mediclaim u/s 80D error in utility

As per amended section 80 D we can take benefit of mediclaim premium paid up to 40,000.00. But if you file return using excel files provided by department it will show suggested deduction as 20,000.00 only.
In this case how to file return.

    20000 is suggested deduction. You can take 40000 by entering 40000

    Deduction available is 20000 only. Normal dedn is 15000 and if you are paying for your parents and if they are senior citizen then only dedn is 20000.
